Ralph Breaks the Interwebs

Watched this one with the fam whilst we were in Cabo and I have to tell you that it’s one of the best animated films I’ve seen in some time, especially if you’re a nerd like me and/or if you have daughters. Great flick! Enjoyed the premise of the story, and I can really identify with Ralph.

Trigg Rating – Four Stars

My favorite parts of the movie were:

First, any scene including this guy…

His name is Gord, which is short for Gord. Gord is a worm who lives in the Dark Net. He acts as Spamley‘s assistant in advertising “get-rich-quick” schemes. Gord does not speak and is extremely difficult to notice; he tends to pop up out of nowhere, typically at the harsh call of Spamley.

My second favorite part was when Vanellope is put on the spot by all of the Princesses from every other Disney / Pixar film ever made (e.g. Moana, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Mulan, Snow White, Merida, Tiana, Aurora, Pocahontas, Ariel, Jasmine, and Belle). In the scene, Vanellope teaches her gown-wearing, costume-clad counterparts to let loose a little with hoodies and sweatpants in the process of figuring out her own path. Very well done!

This image released by Disney shows the character Vanellope von Schweetz, voiced by Sarah Silverman, foreground center, posing for s selfie with Disney princesses in a scene from “Ralph Breaks the Internet.” Filmmakers invited the original voice talent to return to the studio to help bring their characters to life.
