Asking for Your Help

For a second year, I’ve submitted a proposal to the City of Seattle via the Neighborhood Street Fund initiative to create a safer traffic and pedestrian crossing at one of our most heavily traveled local street corners.

I’ve seen cars, pedestrians, dogs, etc. hit or nearly hit at this intersection on multiple occasions, so I’m proposing that they install a new pedestrian crossing light and the ramps that extend out into the parking strip on the corner, so people don’t have as far to go when they cross the street.

I’m asking each of you for some help in supporting this initiative, by simply taking a few minutes to go to the Consider. It webpage and vote for initiative 2019-254 “Admiral Junction Pedestrian Crossing Improvements at California Ave SW and SW College / Walker Streets“.

Last year, this recommendation was outvoted and didn’t make the final cut. This year, I’m hoping you’ll help us make a difference here in our own North Admiral neighborhood. Thanks for your help!
